MISSION
The LEC library is dedicating to supporting the missions and visions of all five schools that encompass our campus as well as honoring the diverse cultures of our populations.
As a library media specialist and educator, Ms. Jenn actively supports our communities in finding information, resources, opportunities and preferably for free. Through collaboration, curation, design thinking, and close communication with all stakeholders, the LEC library is an apex of possibility that strives to support a culture of multiple literacies, intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, adaptability, resilience, drive, and community.
VISION
The LEC Library envisions a true third space that embodies a culture of: Accessibility [Freedom of Information], Inclusivity, Opportunity, Support, and Unity. We want everyone to feel seen and empowered, safe and elevated, engaged and inspired.
MS. JENN HERMUS-WASHBURN
After twenty-one years as an enthusiastic secondary English teacher--as well as College Now Humanities instructor, award-winning Holocaust educator, multifaceted mentor and maker, becoming the campus librarian in this wondrous space is a dream actualized. I find joy in helping others achieve their goals, finding creative solutions to problems and pitfalls, celebrating identities and stories, designing and organizing as methods of caregiving, and learning every day.
